How Danny’s Pizzeria Got Started
Owner Durante “Danny” Galeotafiore was originally from Naples, Italy. He immigrated to the United States in the late 1970s and began working at Pizzerias in Brooklyn, NY. In 1983 “Danny” opened Danny’s Pizzeria located at 241 Bushwick Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11206. Danny has almost 50 years of experience as a pizza man! Durante Galeotafiore still to this day works at Danny’s Pizzeria helping out where needed, such as preparing the sauce and ordering inventory.
Our Family Recipes and Italian Heritage
Danny’s Pizzeria is owned and operated by both Durante and Danny Galeotafiore. The menu focuses on old-school pies, pasta, calzones, sandwiches, and wings, all reflecting true New York–Italian style. Recipes passed down from family traditions are still used today. Located near Cooper Park and Martinez Playground, Danny’s has become a spot where neighbors, families, and friends gather to enjoy authentic Italian comfort food.
